茶道体験 Tea ceremony experience

5月26日、27日に茶道体験をしました。

和室のようにする為、マットの上にい草の“ござ”を敷いて行いました。

準備をしていると、初めて見る茶筅や茶杓、茶碗に『それ何～？』と興味津々！

We had a tea ceremony experience on May 26 and 27.To make it look like a Japanese-style room, we laid a rush grass “goza” on top of the mat.As we were preparing for the tea ceremony, we saw for the first time a tea whisk, a tea scoop, and a tea bowl. and curious! They are very curious to see the tea whisks, tea scoop and tea bowls for the first time!

さぁ茶道体験の始まりです！

先生の真似をしながら正座をし、上手に手をついていますね。

『お願いします』と言いながら、お辞儀も上手にされていましたよ！

Now the tea ceremony experience begins! You are sitting in seiza, imitating your teacher, and putting your hands on the ground skillfully. He even bowed well as he said ‘please’!

お抹茶を点てる人と客人と2人1組で行いました。 The tea ceremony was conducted in pairs, with one person serving matcha and the other serving as the guest.

お抹茶を点てる人は『お菓子をどうぞ』と言い、しっかり茶碗と茶筅を持って一生懸命お抹茶を点て、客人は『お菓子、頂戴します』と言い日本の和菓子を初めは不思議そうにしていましたが美味しそうに食べていました。

The person making the matcha tea said, “Please have some sweets,” and he or she did his or her best to make matcha tea with a tea bowl and a tea whisk in hand.

初めてのお抹茶は、美味しくてゴクゴク飲んでいる子や苦そうな顔をしている子がいましたが、“茶道”という日本ならではの体験を楽しまれていました。

Some of the students enjoyed their first cup of green tea and some looked bitter, but all enjoyed the unique Japanese experience of “tea ceremony.
